On Saturday, September 24, a group of local authors featured their books at the Abington Library in Huntingdon Valley, PA. I was one of them. I had no expectation to sell any books. I was at a library and people who use libraries borrow books, they probably aren’t in the market to buy.  I was surprised that I did sell books but the most valuable aspect of that day was how I met other authors. With my small profits, I bought someone else’s book. It was a book based on Caleb, a 9-year-old boy who was the inspiration for a charming book about his love for many cats his family fosters. I met others who wrote about parades, Jackie O, and a book about extricated souls. I made sure to touch base with these authors so that we can support each other and find more events to attend or to promote ourselves. I invited them to be featured on DiMonte Publishing where I can link to Amazon to boost their sales. What a great day for real person-to-person connections!!!
